Barnes International to exhibit mobile payment test tools at Mobile Asia Expo
Barnes International, order a global smart card test tool leader today announced they will be exhibiting at the GSMA Mobile Expo Asia, taking place 11 – 13 June 2014 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China. In its third year, the GSMA’s largest mobile event in the region attracts senior-level industry leaders for 3 days of product showcases, announcements, learning and networking.
Barnes customers include banks, mobile network operators and other organisations involved in the development, testing, certification and issuance of EMV and NFC mobile payment applications. At the Expo, Barnes will be showcasing their test tools which help accelerate the issuance of GlobalPlatform qualified and / or payment scheme certified mobile payment applications.
Two solutions of particular interest to Expo visitors will be:
- GlobalPlatform UICC & Basic Configuration Test Tool – A GlobalPlatform qualified test tool used by smart card manufacturers and mobile network operators to validate new products meet GlobalPlatform V2.2.1 specifications. GlobalPlatform is committed to ensuring the long-term interoperability of embedded applications on secure chip technology. Its compliance programme
confirms that secure chips and devices meet the functional requirements outlined in GlobalPlatform market specific configurations and will perform as intended once live in the
marketplace. - Mobile Payments Validation Test Tool – This test tool is used by issuers of mobile payment applications and test laboratories. It supports product development by testing over NFC and SWP the validity of the data on the mobile SIM card to ensure the embedded mobile payments application meets EMV specifications and will be approved in the formal certification process by
the chosen payment scheme (Visa payWave, MasterCard paypass, American Express expresspay, for example).
