CPT PVT for Visa Global Self-Service

We have been shortlisted for our PVT for the Visa Global Self-Service option.

The Visa Global Self-Service PVT process has been launched recently to Visa customers. With the self-service option, card issuers can perform personalisation validation testing themselves, eliminating the need to send white plastics to Visa for validation. This innovation leads to a significant reduction in project timescales and costs.  

In addition, the move to machine-readable testing of smart cards allows certification standards to change without the need to re-release the test tool. 

The key benefits of this new process include: 

• Streamlined testing with remote PVT using new, innovative machine-readable software 

• Easier outsourcing for card personalisation, production and fulfilment 

• Faster time to market through more efficient processes 

• Saving money on fees and distribution by using automated digitised processes 

• Reducing carbon footprint by using electronic transferring of files 

 To be able to use the self-service option, a Visa-qualified PVT tool containing the Visa digitised test set must be used. Our robust software tool is the first to be qualified by Visa Global and our expert developers have worked closely with Visa to ensure all certification specifications are fully met.  

Built to work on our market-leading CPT platform, the Visa Global Self-Service PVT test tool enables users to test and debug their cards as needed until they obtain a PASS. Once a PASS is achieved, the CPT tool then generates an electronic results file and report which can be submitted to Visa. Visa Global’s systems then generates an instant, automated approval Letter Of Completion, enabling Issuers to perform mass roll out of cards.
