Meet with Barnes at Cards & Payments East Africa, 15 – 16 September, Nairobi

We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at Cards & Payments East Africa, taking place on 15 – 16 September at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi.  On show will be our EMV test tools and magnetic stripe analysers which are used globally to support financial institutions and card issuers as they move from magnetic stripe to EMV chip bank cards.

In order to issue EMV chip cards, the bank or financial institution must be certified by their chosen Payment Scheme (Visa, MasterCard or AmEx, for example), which involves validating card personalisation data and that is where Barnes’ EMV Card Personalisation Test Tool, CPT 3000v3, is invaluable.

It is used to quality check the personalisation data on the chip, magnetic stripe and card face to ensure contact and contactless debit and credit cards meet Payment Scheme requirements. This test is performed prior to the formal certification process and helps to speed up EMV card application development and certification; post-certification, the test tools are used for on-going EMV quality assurance during card personalisation.

Co-located with the Future Bank conference, Cards & Payments East Africa is the region’s leading payments conference featuring 35 speakers across 45 sessions.  It is expected 600 delegates will attend to hear how leading African banks are addressing the challenges of EMV migration and a cashless future.
